Firstly, stop so you can assess your position better by looking in the door mirrors. The next thing you will need to do is take a shunt forwards to create some space, so when you go back into reverse you can adjust the steering sooner. When it comes to tackling parking manoeuvres in Herne Bay, you have several great places to practise. For bay parking, a favourable place to learn would be Herons Leisure Centre. We recommend this location for bay parking as, due to the amount of available space and the size of the car park, it allows you to focus on perfecting your parking.
If you want to ace your parallel parking, Douglas Road, Ivanhoe Road, Linden Avenue and Oxenden Park Drive are popular places to gain confidence with this manoeuvre. We suggest these residential roads as there will generally be more space, meaning there will be less pressure and you can tackle it one step at a time.
